Parents Matter
No doubt you’ve heard the seductive argument that once parents bestow their
genes on their children, they take a back seat in their children’s
lives, parents need only refrain from abusing their children, feed and clothe
them, and then wait

Stuck = caught or held in a position from which it is impossible to move; not able to find a solution or way out of a situation. Are you feeling stuck? In your circumstance? In your relationship? In your physical condition? In your life? Would you liketo remove the obstacles in your path that prevent a more joyful flow in your life? Are you frustrated with an inability to put well-meaning concepts described in popular books and film to positive benefit in your life? This book is for anyone, like us, who has ever felt blocked in their ability to move forward, an inner restlessness, an emptiness, or a sense that there must be more to life than their experience up until this moment. Essentially, this book is for anyone who is interested in overcoming the hurdles which keep us stuck or prevent us from moving forward. The 12 Keys will give you the resources to understand why you are stuck and explain how you can make different choices to begin moving in your life.
What Doctor’s and Therapists Have To Say:
The lessons to be learned from this book are age old but reframed in ways that are easy to incorporate and appropriate to our lifestyle today. They ring true for me because of my experience with cancer patients who display a survivor personality, exceed expectations and more often survive when no one gives them any hope. Shifting and finding the right path, in order to survive, are what various myths and religions teach us. We are to find our way and not lose our lives by becoming what others want us to be. We must, however, have the courage to lose the life imposed upon us by others in order to save the life we desire to live; for women that means choosing to live their authentic life and not a role. It is easier to have coaches and guides to help you on the path to transformation and this book can do that for you.

I have personally experienced the work of Dr. Latz when I was asked to review her and Dr. Ross’ first book. Her material was fresh, innovative, and created results. It opened up a new area of treatment intervention that I had only limited exposure to in the past. I found it helpful, impactful, and informative, and I now apply her teachings in my practice. On a personal level, I find Dr. Latz to be insightful, intuitive, intelligent, and a pleasure to connect with.

Shift is a humble and yet accurate title for a jewel of a book that is filled with easy, genuine practices to support the reader to move into their highest potential of self-actualization. I personally and professionally now use a number of these exercises as daily practices. Whether you are a professional working with patients and clients, or a person interested in wonderful transformation, this book is a must have for your own self-care and for the well-being of those you care for. Dr. Tracy Latz and Dr. Marion Ross gives the reader easy to follow steps on how to change dark and heavy emotional states into physical and emotional lightness of being. They draw on their brilliant talent and training, elegantly sharing universal internal processes that either infringe on our well-being, or bring beautiful and profound liberation. It is a book I read over and over again, the subject matter is this rich. Thank-you Dr. Latz and Dr. Ross.

About the Authors:
Tracy Latz, M.D., M.S. is a practicing integrative psychiatrist in Mooresville, North Carolina. Marion Ross, Ph.D., is an international business entrepreneur and transpersonal psychologist practicing in New York and Paris, France. Both Tracy and Marion have used the techniques outlined in The 12 Keys to transform their own lives and the lives of their patients. Why exactly did a psychiatrist and an international business entrepreneur get together to write this book? We felt there was a need to create a book that would assist others who also felt stuck in their lives. During our years of training, we learned that we create powerfully every day with our thoughts and feelings. We create obstacles in our lives when we are unaware. We wanted to assist others with learning what we know. Once you understand these concepts, you will realize how extremely important it is to identify and cull out negative thoughts and transform feelings of anger, resentment, fear and anxiety that limit your ability to create joy and peace. Whenever you experience disappointment, stress, betrayal, grief, loss, or heartbreak from your life experiences, you are at risk of forming such limiting thoughts. Since you do in fact create just as powerfully with your negative thoughts and feelings as you do when you are feeling loving and peaceful, it is imperative that you are mindful of choosing to transform yourself and step onto a new life arena without your limiting dogma. It is time to step out of the box you have created over and over and paint a new canvas of your life. You learn that there are different options available to you and you can choose to remove the obstacles you have unwittingly placed in your path.
